Our in–house facilities are open to customers at our Centre of Operations. We offer the ability to build and test complex or innovative solutions in the safe environment of our laboratory. We can provide tailored hands on training for your technical staff and/or end users in our training suite. We also have delightfully appointed meeting rooms available for the exclusive use of our customers.

Our Centre of Operations is located in Southport, which being a landing point for transatlantic cables, is an excellent town for connecting to telecoms providers. Originally our premises was a grand Victorian house with multiple rooms, large windows, high ceilings, servants quarters in the attic and a large basement for cool storage. During latter years the premises has been owned by the NHS as it's adjacent to the old Southport Royal Infirmary (now demolished), and then by a salvage company.

The layout of the building had been changed many times over the years to cater for each of the requirements, which lastly had seen office premises on the ground floor and living quarters above. The property required significant renovation and alteration, partly to suit our needs and partly to meet the security levels that are needed for some of our more classified business. Numerous changes have taken place, including the removal of walls, new stairs, new facilities and the diversion and upgrading of electrical and telecoms supplies.

Ground floor:

  1. A large training suite / meeting room, with all the mod cons that you would expect in a conference centre. Our favourite is the interactive whiteboards, which our staff never tire of playing with!
  2. A laboratory and technical training suite, designed mainly so that we can work with customers and partners to build and test solutions in a safe environment, but also to provide hands on technical training so that you can better understand the solutions that we have installed for you.
  3. Kitchen and dining area with access out to the rear of the building for a break and a breath of the sea air in Southport.
  4. A heavy–duty server room built to the exacting standards of our engineers.

First floor:

  1. A second, smaller meeting room, much favoured by the M.D., but designed with customers in mind.
  2. The P&C Help Desk team and their network monitoring facilities. Come and watch your network live on their screens.
  3. Office space for employees, hot desks for remote workers.

Throughout:

All of our visitors can expect free Internet access, with the best technical support on hand for those occasional gadget hiccups.

The nearby railway station is well connected to Preston, Manchester and Liverpool, including frequent direct trains to Manchester International Airport. We're easily accessible by car and have a small visitors car park to the front of the building.

Southport is a lively seaside resort, good for golf, dining and entertainment. Hotel accommodation is plentiful and comes in a range of prices from homely B&Bs to luxury complexes with every manner of trim and frill.

Our facilities are normally offered as part of a managed service, but can be hired by our customers for training or meetings, independent of our other solutions.
