Summary

P&C Communications are constantly reviewing how we can improve and integrate further solutions within the network infrastructures we provide to our customers. We always aim with new technology and solutions to implement within our own network or within our customer base. As a result of previous testing and implementations we wish to highlight to you:


Paxton Access

Paxton Access Control Paxton Access specialise in access control solutions and over recent months P&C Communications have developed a relationship where P&C have been able to incorporate Paxton's solutions to meet the criteria of Access Control. We feel the advantages of this solution are:

  • Being fully networkable, therefore remote sites or branches can be managed from the central site and control software.
  • Integration for Time and Attendance and integration with roll call for fire evacuation procedures
  • Management is easy with windows based control software for full administration management functionality from a central controller including the generation of reports.
  • The solution can be easily expanded for future requirements as it caters for upto 100's of doors and 10,000 users
  • Integration with current camera systems can also be provided so there can be one system managing camera's and access control.

Opal Communications

Opal Communications Opal Communications. Opal provides communication solutions to UK organisations, serving the needs of over 100,000 business and public sector customers and working with over 350 wholesale partners nationwide. Opal is the business to business division of The TalkTalk Group Plc and part of the Carphone Warehouse Group, who are the UK's 3rd largest communications network operator, with a total of 2.7m customers. This new partnership allows P&C to offer customers an even greater variety on available services to ensure absolute quality of service.

Why Opal?

  • We see them as one of the main telecoms providers due to the investment by the TalkTalk Group, and acquisitions recently Tiscali.
  • Have proven to be cost effective when providing MPLS solutions.
  • Provide P&C helpdesk in depth information on the core of the network which helps us to provide you the customer more information on the performance of your network.

Please note we see Opal as an alternative to our current telecoms providers THUS and BT.


NEC

NEC NEC is a business established in 1899 and Japan's largest supplier of telephony systems to the SME sector. They employ 150,000 employees work-wide and invest £2 billion on research and development every year to make sure their products are upto date and meeting future requirements.

P&C Communications have developed our partnership as we can provide customers with:

  • Both IP and traditional Business Communication Systems.
  • Can be fully integrated over a WAN and MPLS Solution.
  • The solution consists of a cost effective branch system that can be fully integrated within the central system.
  • Branch systems can be configured so they can failover to ISDN if the main comms link is no longer available.
  • Future proofing and investment protection.
  • Extremely cost effective call management and call recording software can be integrated within the solution,

Please note that all Nortel solutions will continue to be supported and we will be continuing to supply these solutions. We see NEC as an alternative or maybe a better fit for some customer requirements.


Current P&C Service Campaigns

Currently P&C Communications are running a campaign promoting our services based around:

  • LAN analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Packet Capture to identify specific issues.
  • Wireless planning and troubleshooting.

The campaign is currently aimed at partners (system and application providers) to assist them and their customers. However we will be also providing a campaign to customers directly in the near future and we are also looking to add a telephony call logging and analysis service for end customers.

Safenet

Vernon BS Through our partnership with Safenet we have been proving solutions that integrate VPN connectivity using their SoftRemote client and also hard disk encryption solution ProtectDrive. We have worked with our customer Vernon Building Society to write up a case study on their implementation of ProtectDrive.
