Network Infrastructures are becoming more and more complex with various types of applications being transferred over the network infrastructure. Applications such as voice and video are very dependent upon bandwidth and reliability of the infrastructure and can sometimes impact on other core applications necessary to running the business.
On a Wide Area Network all applications (data, voice, video, access control) need to be sent over a carrier network to the remote site. The problems with WAN's is that bandwidth due to cost is often less than a LAN which means performance is perceived poor when comparing to speeds at the Head Office. With WAN analysis we can review the infrastructure and inform you of line utilisation, Amounts of traffic send and received and throughput.
We have a 3rd option which allows us to offer customers detailed analysis and packet capture so we can highlight information about the types of traffic and the highest performing applications but this requires different tools hence why this isn't included in the overview analysis.
